Waterfall & Backflow Incense Burners
Explore decorative burners for a cascading smoke display. The waterfall effect needs a backflow cone and a compatible burner with aligned openings. Choose a design from this collection, then check its cone seat, overall size and package contents before ordering.
Choose the right cone refill
Backflow cones have an opening at the base that lines up with the burner's smoke passage. Standard solid cones do not create this effect. When browsing incense cones and refills, choose a listing that explicitly states backflow use, then confirm the cone base fits the selected burner's seat securely.
Check the refill's fragrance, quantity and stated dimensions. Being labelled “backflow” does not establish that every cone size fits every burner. If either product lacks measurements, ask us about the specific burner and cone before buying them together.
Compare size, design and included pieces
- Footprint and height: compare the listed measurements with the space available on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Allow clearance from nearby objects and room to handle the burner after it has cooled.
- Cone seat and openings: check the supported cone type, seat size and any clearance beneath a cover. Use the holder-fit checklist when comparing products.
- Package contents: confirm which base, cover, insert or other pieces are included in the selected option. Check whether cones are included and how many; a photo or another burner's bundle is not a packing list.
- Color or style: select the intended variant on the product page. For example, The Little Monk Incense Burner lists Yellow, Blue, Green and Red options. Verify fit and contents for the option you choose.
Plan for setup and cleaning
Follow the instructions supplied with both products. Air moving directly across a burner can disturb the smoke display, but the room still needs ventilation. Keep the setup away from combustible materials, children and pets. Supervise every burn and extinguish the incense before leaving or sleeping.
Let the burner, cone and ash cool completely before moving or cleaning them. Residue can collect along a backflow smoke path; follow the material's care instructions and keep the opening clear.
