Choose it if you want to see a winding smoke path across several levels. The most useful buying checks are its exterior size, access to the top cone seat and the fit of your intended backflow refill.

Identify the current Mountain River model

The gallery shows a blue-green upper area, a dark lower body and an elongated open-front shape. The current listing has one product option. Older references to selectable “Desert Tan” or “Mystic Blue” versions are not supported by the current selector; use the linked product gallery and current ordering options when choosing.

Use the exterior dimensions to plan the space

The gallery's size diagram labels the burner 20 cm high, 11 cm wide and 10 cm deep, approximately 7.9 × 4.3 × 3.9 inches. Treat these as pictured exterior product measurements. They do not specify the cone-seat diameter, required safety clearance or the size of an ash-catching tray.

Check the usable surface depth as well as height before buying. Position the open front where you can see it, with room to reach the top using the handling method supplied with your incense. A shelf that just accommodates the ceramic body may still be unsuitable for burning. Keep the area stable, uncluttered and clear of combustible items; the woven mat in the photographs does not establish a suitable burning surface.

Match a backflow cone to the top seat

The display uses a purpose-made backflow cone with an opening underneath. Its base must rest securely on the upper seat and its opening must align with the burner's inlet. An ordinary solid cone does not provide that downward outlet.

The cone-seat diameter is not published. Before buying refills, ask us to confirm fit for this Mountain River model and the cone you intend to use. A confirmed packing list is not available. Ask whether any cones are included and, if so, which type and quantity. Do the same for any photographed accessory that matters to your order. Product photographs alone cannot establish a ready-to-use set.

Set up the winding smoke path

Check the cool, unlit burner for stability and a clear inlet before positioning a compatible cone. Follow the supplied lighting and handling directions and the backflow setup guide. Keep a direct fan or draft off the display, while maintaining room ventilation.

If the cascade is interrupted, extinguish as directed and let everything cool before checking cone type, opening alignment and residue along the ledges. Do not move a hot cone to improve the flow. A photograph of the smoke path does not establish a guaranteed flow duration for every refill.

Care for the ceramic and choose your next step

After the ember is out and the burner has cooled completely, inspect the top seat, ledges and lower opening. Follow the supplied care instructions to remove residue.
